  "I was walking one day," she said to
me. The sun set at our backs and the evening cooled our skin. "I was walking, you see, because the day was nice enough. Bright sun, soft breeze. I hiked up the mountain when what should I see but a flower. Not just any flower, it was white and rare.  Right there on the face of the mountain, pounded by heavy rain, sunlight, and all manner of harships. Flowers don't survive on mountain sides, yet there it was. Growing out of a split in the rock." She looked at me, "I'm like that, you see. Can't crush me."

       Hello everyone, and welcome to my corner of the web! This is a place for my writing, which is my future profession and one of my passions. I'm a passionate, somewhat intense person by nature, and yet I have a silly streak that often makes awkward situations a lot easier and a willingness to lead when no one else will step up.

      I'm in college studying Creative Writing right now, with a minor in Publishing Arts. I write everything from newspaper articles, which I've been doing for five years now, to poetry and short story. When it comes to writing, I'm a jack of all trades. I don't really have any one topic or genre that I prefer. I'm told that my strengths are imagery and use of metaphor.
